YOUR COMPLETE GUIDE TO MOVING TO TEHRANGELES

Tehrangeles is one of the best places in Los Angeles to raise a family if you also like to be close to all the incredible amenities LA has to offer. For Iranian families, it can quickly feel like home, and it’s just as common to hear Farsi in the area as you are English. Of course, that’s not to say people and families won’t feel at home in Tehrangeles – with the strong community feel, it’s easy to feel at home in Little Persia.

Where exactly is Tehrangeles?

Tehrangeles, also known as Little Persia, is an area of Westwood where Iranians settled and gathered after the Islamic Revolution in 1979. Today, it’s an area rich with culture for Persian families and anyone else looking to be centrally located in Los Angeles. Tehrangeles is a stone’s throw from Santa Monica and Beverly Hills, so it really is one of the best places to be in Los Angeles if you want to embrace a small neighborhood feel, get out into the State Park from time to time, and stay close to central Los Angeles.

What are the house prices like in Tehrangeles?

The median single-family house price in Tehrangeles is $2.59M, for a 2-4 bedroom home, with an average square footage of 1685. The median condo price is currently 959k.

The majority of properties in the area are built in that signature 1920s Spanish style typical to Los Angeles, though there are some contemporary homes available, and nearly all properties have private parking via an underground or private lot or driveway.

Homes typically sell quickly, in a little over a month, and for a little (3.48% in July 2021) over the asking price. The area benefits from the strong property prices in Los Angeles, so buying in the area is a safe investment.

Outside of Little Persia, other forms of entertainment are never far away, and there are plenty of parks nearby and places to hike at the weekend. UCLA is close by, as is the Los Angeles Country Club, local museums (such as the famous Hammer Museum), farmers markets, Rodeo Drive, and Santa Monica.
